A guy lost his girlfriend in a train accident....

but the gal's name nowhere appeared in the dead list. This guy

grew up n became IT technical architect in his late 20?s, achievement in itself!!.

He hired developers from the whole globe and plan to make a

software where he could search for his gf through the web..

Things went as planned...

n he found her, after losing millions of dollars and 3 long years!!

It was time to shut down the search operation, when the CEO of Google had a

word with this guy n took over this application,

This Software made a whopping 1 billion dollars profit in its first year,

which we today know as ORKUT .


The guy's name is ORKUT BUYUKKOTEN. Yes its named after him only. Today he

is paid a hefty sum by Google for the things we do like scrapping. He is

expected to b the richest person by 2009.

ORKUT BUYUKKOTEN today has 13 assistants to monitor his scrapbook & 8 to

monitor his friends-list. He gets around 20,000 friend-requests a day & about 85,000 scraps!!!

* He gets $12 from Google when every person registers to this website.
* He also gets $10 when you add somebody as a friend.

Friends, at times you feel that your broadband connection is good but the speed is not optimal. At this point of time you would like to dig in and try to find the settings in Windows which can improve your broadband speed to some extent and to get most out of what you have.

The first hindrance in preforming this task is that we are not aware of the the places where these settings are present.

Secondly,even if we find the options, we are not sure about the values which needs to be supplied and what are the optimal values. For example if you want to change ‘MaxConnectionsPerServer’ and ‘MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server’ then you have to go to registry and make changes there. Well, you can do this very easily via TCP optimizer. Just go to its ”Advance settings’ tab and there you can find it right on the top. Just for your information, value of these two controls Maximum number of simultaneous downloads in windows.

Now coming back to our original topic, thirdly we have to store the previous settings(which we are changing) somewhere(may be a text file) manually so that we can restore the old values if need arises.

If you checked your hard drive may have contained hundreds of thousands of files. And if you ask about the contents of the disk, the answer is, of course, contains a file system and some programs are installed on the computer. As we know there are many documents and spreadsheets, thousands of audio files, images, and so on.

But most of the hundreds of thousands of these files may be temporary files and back-ups, and some cookies files from the Internet. One also resulted in a decreased performance of hard disk itself.

Clearing the browser cache is the first step you should do. After doing so, you can see a reduced number of files could reach thousands. Then you can open a command prompt and run the command del *. bak / s, del *. bk! / S, del *. tmp / s, and so on. This method could eliminate thousands of unnecessary files and regain disk space that has been empty.
However, this is not the best for you to do. Why? First, you may not know any temporary file extension. Second, you can just delete the files that were still needed. Third, if you are not careful then file damage could happen. To overcome this, you are advised to use a special utility to remove temporary files. Microsoft includes a utility to do so. The utility is Windows Disk Cleanup. This utility can delete temporary files in a relatively short time. After deleting unnecessary files, it is time to run a disk defragger. However, fragmentation has a negative impact, because the disk heads have to keep moving when read and write files, so that hard disk performance may decrease.
To overcome the problem of fragmentation can be done by running regularly defragging utilities. Defragging utility can read every file and make each part arranged on a regular basis, so that files can be more quickly accessed. Defragmenter utility is limited in terms of existing features, and if you want to try more complete features, you can use a utility defragging “Vopt” or defragging system cleanup “Diskeeper”. But the most important to overcome the damage to your hard drive is how we use these devices and perform regular maintenance; hard disk performance is not so rapid decline.

first of all before saying anything abt my new trick..i would like to ask how much time does ur pc take to turnoff..???

A) 2 mins B)5mins C)3secs......
obviously ur answer would b 2 or 3 mins...but in reality we can also turn off pc in 3 secs..all u need to do is follow my instruction..
press
ctrl+alt+delete then go to shutdown and now click turnoff with ctrl pressed and dats it..u system wil b turned off in few secs....
using this tip u can save ur lot of time and loss of power during operation and saving batery back up....

hey guys there is fablous tip for u...fed up of opening of folders slowly irrating u...now its tym for as ur viewing dis cool site...

change speed of opening folders


Go to Start then Run
Type 'Regedit' then click 'Ok'
Find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\"
Select "MenuShowDelay"
Right click and select "Modify'
Reduce the number to around "100"
This is the delay time before a menu is opened. You can set it to "0" but it can make windows really hard to use as menus will open if you just move your mouse over them. I tend to go for anywhere between 50-150 depending on the time

Creat your own keyboard shortcuts to any program

Tired of being go to the start menu every time or minize all the programs to go to the desktop to start new application??.well then its tym 2 change... then here is a simple tip for you

You can create shortcut to any program so that you can avoid using the mouse and you can just start the program by using the keyboard buttons. For this, the program shortcut icon should be present on the desktop. follow the below procedure

1. Right click on the program icon on the desktop to which you want to create shortcut and go to properties

2. select the shortcut tab which you can see at the top of the window

3.Find the option "shortcut key" and enter the combination by which you want to open that particular program.

4. If the entered shortcut key is already used for some other purpose, then windown will automatically suggest you the available combination.

5. Press ok and exit

From now on, you can open the program by using keyboard with out going for the mouse

Note: the shortcut path will work only as long as you place the program icon on the destop

Code Description

1 Short Beep System OK
2 Short Beeps Parity error in the first 64 KB of memory
3 Short Beeps Memory failure in the first 64 KB
4 Short Beeps Memory failure in the first 64 KB Operational of memory
or Timer 1 on the motherboard is not functioning
5 Short Beeps The CPU on the motherboard generated an error
6 Short Beeps The keyboard controller may be bad. The BIOS cannot switch to protected mode
7 Short Beeps The CPU generated an exception interrupt
8 Short Beeps The system video adapter is either missing, or its memory is faulty
9 Short Beeps The ROM checksum value does not match the value encoded in the BIOS
10 Short Beeps The shutdown register for CMOS RAM failed
11 Short Beeps The external cache is faulty

here are some tips guys....

1.delete all temp ,%temp%,prefetch,internet temporary files.
2.disable unnecessary processes by pressing run -msconfig and disable all trays and antivirus startup to make ur system faster.
